Out in the Open connects rural LGBTQ people to build community, visibility, knowledge and power-- no matter the changing needs and intense challenges. We are dedicated to our values of anti-racism, embracing intersections, connections, and rural experiences, while celebrating resistance and queer joy along the way. Our staff and board are 100% rural and small-town queer folks with intersecting identities. We all have a critical role to play in the fight for our collective liberation.
Your gift funds meaningful crisis-response work and long-term movement building, including community organizing for social change, shifting programs to accessible virtual spaces, new programming that fosters connection and joy during this isolating time, and direct community support Mutual Aid initiatives for QTBIPOC & LGBTQ+ folks.
