Out in the Open connects rural LGBTQ people to build community, visibility, knowledge and power. We are a trans-led organization with a staff and board that are 100% rural and small-town queer folks with intersecting identities. We are guided by our values of anti-racism, embracing intersections & connections, and making rural places home for LGBTQ people-- while celebrating a tradition of resistance and queer joy along the way.
